Hi, I have two light brahma chicks, and one of them has a butt that looks weird. Yesterday she was fine, but now her butt is weird everything else is fine. Can you look at the pictures and see if you haven an idea at what it might be?

It looks like she's got poop stuck to her vent. Is that what you mean? It needs cleaned off ASAP. I use a q-tip and warm water - dab the water all over the poop, and slowly roll the q-tip over and away from the vent, running it under water after every go. It doesn't take much to get it off, just be gentle.

Ya one of my delewares had pasty butt for a couple days. I kept cleaning it and eventually it stopped. But I'm worried that the other brahma might be pecking at her vent. Some of her puffy feathers are gone. @MGG do you have an idea? I'm going to clean up the poop right now.

Do you see any prolapsing going on? Like any red protrusion? I would put a wire divider between the two for a while (a week or so).
So they can still see each other but not peck.

Here is the pic

Are you aware that too hot of a brooder can cause this?
