I had the webcam to keep an eye on my dog and her puppies when she had them and actually forgot about it until a few days ago. Then thought it would be a great way to be able to watch and check on the chickens without having to keep going up and down the stairs all day.

(remember, these are house chickens LOL) Plus, now I can sit and watch them whenever I want ... I can even check in on them while I'm out as the Ustream site is able to be pulled up on my ipod!

(as long as I have internet access) I just have to remember to turn it on every day since the feed goes off when the internet does.

But I love watching them and now it's my own little "chicken tv" starring my girls. I knew you guys here would get a kick out of it! I remember seeing someone who did something similar with their chicks.

Anyone viewing the chicken-cam ... Ustream seems to be a little glitchy today and the server is cutting on and off. Nothing you can do. Hopefully they'll get on top of it and fix it soon. Makes for a choppy stream though for now.

When you go to the link, it should start automatically. I have been having issues with it when I use Mozzilla Firefox as the browser but it works fine if I use Google Chrome. I tried fixing it so I could use my regular MF browser and the support page says to make sure your flash player and operating system are up to date and see if that helps. I did all that and STILL have issues using MF as my browser with Ustream. Others though don't have any problems.

This evening I watched Justina in the box while she laid

took her about 35 min LOL

Then for some reason about 1/2 an hour before their light went off I was watching them, especially one of the new girls, walking around looking UP like someone was there talking to them or something

I think they were trying to plan an escape. LOL And once in a while you'll catch one look DIRECTLY into the web cam like "hey, you watching us!" LOL

I LOVE watching them on it

Now I don't have to imagine what they're doing down there, I can SEE it! LOL
