Hi over the last few days I have noticed my 3 year old chicken can’t close her beak. I thought it was cross beak at first, but now i’m not sure. There is a smell coming from her mouth, but it smells like she has been eating poo, not how i imagine sour crop smells but it could be that. There’s a foamy/gooey thing that seems to be stuck in her mouth too, i have tried to get it out myself but i’m alone at the moment so it’s hard to keep hold a chicken and try to get into her mouth at the same time :/ she has been quite lethargic, especially noticeably in the mornings, but she is still trying to act like her normal self. She is trying to eat, but due to her beak it doesn’t seem like she actually gets to swallow a lot of the food, she can’t quite grab it, so i have to keep an eye on her and feed her either crushed up food or softer foods than pellets. She is still drinking, but again not as much as she used to. I felt her crop, and it felt like a gold ball size lump there, and she feels quite skinny (probably due to not being able to eat as much) and I am just so worried about her. She is not herself. Her stool is normal, if anything they are a bit smaller than usual. She does keep flicking her head, so I really do think sour crop, but because she can’t shut her beak I wasn’t sure as i’ve not seen that as a symptom for it. Any help would be appreciated 
her name is Popcorn and i raised her from a chick after her foster mother pecked her and her siblings enough they bled when they were born and we felt it best to separate. I really am willing to do anything, there is a vet specifically for chickens but it’s about 45 mins away and i don’t want to put her through the unnecessary stress if there’s anything i can do for her here, but if i need to i will take her there.
