"Chicken Central"... On the Cheep

The floor is currently covered with a latex primer, in anticipation of a vinyl floor covering in the near future. The vinyl floor tiles I have require a latex based sealer before they are installed.

Supposed to rain sometime this weekend, so I kicked the roof project into high gear.

I anchored the 4X4s to the block with tapcons and metal angle. Then I got to tin fittin.

My hands took quite a beating putting it on. Didn't help that the wind was gusting either.

Gonna need to get to caulking the previous attach points, but once that's done it should be watertight. You can see the holes here:

Next up: closing it in...

Nice work. I looked everywhere for the corrugated panels you used on yours but couldn't find any. I ended up just using plywood and shingles, but I want to pull it all off and go with tin if I can ever find some.

1stact, Lowe's and H/D sell metal cutting discs that you use in a circular saw. They cut nice an clean without chattering on the metal.

I used the method described by knucklebuster to cut the tin. It's a bit loud when you're cutting, but there's really no better way that I know to get them cut.
