Pick a chicken (s/he must have a name) and chat from the perspective of that chicken! I'll be chatting from the perspective of my barred rock, Gidget (she's my avatar). Go!

GIDGET: Its been really hot here and human momma hen puts crushed ice cubes in our water and on the ground. I like competing with my sisters to see who can swallow the biggest piece!

Hi!
Mine will be from the perspective of our EE, Peppermint

Peppermint: Hi Gidget! I'm an EE from Georgia and it has been very hot here, but right now it's been a little cooler. Yesterday, I used my super-awesome secret way of getting out of my coop and free ranged most of the day, but later the chicken-lady CAUGHT me, and put me back! Why on earth would she do that?

This is Sophia, my Columbian Rock:
SOPHIA: My mommy always catches me when I get out of the pen. I found out how to slip through the gate. Once, me, some of my sisters, and nephew, hopped right and and mommy was like, "WHAT are you doing Sophia??!! Get back in here now!" I still can't figure out why she wanted me back in there.

my sister Elsa got out earlier and was in the no chickens allowed yard! The evil gay human momma hen loves so much picked her up and put her in the chicken area! she left the gate open and elsa snuck through!

Peppermint: Sometimes I wish we had someone who would protect us from hawks. We had a rooster one time, but once chicken-lady found out he was a rooster, she wouldn't let us in there with him. He was very handsome though and still tried to warn us about hawks.

Peppermint: Our rooster would do that too, and he would try to warn us about songbirds and other silly things like that. I do wish those cruel monsters hadn't killed him.
