One of my young hens seems to have a dislocated hip (top of the femur). Her leg sticks out behind her. I managed to get it in once and she was standing weakly but it seems out again after a couple of weeks. I'm not sure how I did it the first time. Does anyone know where I should put the leg and where to apply pressure? I've also been treating her successfully for Mareks so that might be a complicating factor and cause. I hate to put her down because she was improving so nicely, but I'm considering it.

How old is she?

Can you please provide several clear, well-lit photos of her and her leg position?

Thanks!

Stand by. Will aim to get those posted by the end of the day.
Took me a bit longer. She either puts the leg back or lies on her side. When palpating her hips there is a prominent lump above her left hip which I assume is her femur. As I said I am nursing her back to health and she was standing weakly. She cannot stand now and without homeopathics to reduce swelling she will not eat. I can post more photos tomorrow. She is about a year old.
