This is my 1st hatchling ever. He was the only fertile egg out of 24 eggs. He is a Buff Laced Brahma, since he was alone I held him in my bra so he could have some cuddling and that special Mommy loves you feeling when he was tiny. Consequently he is a very special guy, sweet and friendly. Comes to his Mommy. Hope he stays this way when he matures.

hi everyone , and MMB53 i had the same story!!1 with my baby mumble a Scots Dumpy X R.I.R my first hatchiling , he was the only one to hatch , so i reared him in my bedroom! he cuddled up with me at night on my pillow and slept on my head and neck , i loved him so much and when he grew up he never joined the other chickens , and lived in the house his whole life (stayed out with me during the day) but honestly i think he thought i was his flock LOL he was lovely , i would do anything for him back , he was so friendly and we were never apart , he ate in the house and everything , my big rooster on my pillow all through the night haha but a doig got him when i wasnt watching him one day , i still havnt got over it , and that was nearly a year ago! he hatched on mothers day
