Why She Should Win: M.E. was murdered in cold blood [rest her soul] by a wandering dog. She was the most awesome chicken I've ever met, and positively oozed personality. She had an attitude that was 10 feet taller than she was, and when she was a chick she would always yell at me to change her water or refill her food bowl when either was running low. She moved like a little road runner, darting around the yard, chasing the other hens. She was a great girl, and is still greatly missed by our family. Since they don't seem to make polish statues or grave markers, we hope to win so that I can immortalize her forever in pencil.
