I would like to tell all the chicken enthusiast about my serendipidous discovery while building my coop. I did not want to take the time to bury wire along my raised coop so I used some rock laying around in my yard and piled it with cement around. It not only keeps the ladies cool in the heat, but also hopefully will keep predators at bay.
