Chicken Coop Engineered Drawing

Hello guys!

I'm trying to get chicks in June or sooner. My city is requiring me to get an accessory permit for my chicken coop. They told me I need an engineered stamped drawing and specs. I guess the chicken coop plan from etsy wasn't sufficient. Anyone ever find themselves in the same situation? How did you find stamped engineered drawings?

It sounds like they have confused your request for a coop with something that will house humans. What exactly did you ask for?
Where did the above picture come from?
Do you need a permit for chickens?

My first effort would be to find out why they want stamped drawings. Is it related to size or something else? Is it related to electricity or water being supplied to the building? Is the person requiring them to be stamped correct in that being a requirement? I'd want to see the specific code that requires a stamped drawing so I'd know what I'm dealing with. There may be an easy workaround.

I've had to supply drawings to get permits. Some were just drawn by me, no engineering stamp. I've had to supply a certified plot survey drawing to show my plat but I could draw in the location of what I was doing myself. Each permitting authority has its own requirements. Once it mattered if I were in a certain part of the county or another. The permitting process can be frustrating.
