My daughter, age 8, makes a gingerbread house every Christmas. This year she made a replica of our chicken coop. Past projects have included a "Quail Castle", and "Rapunzel's Tower".
My daughter was artistic director. Wife was architect/chief engineer.

That is SO cute and very creative. Do the chickies get to help eat it?

Someone sent me an e-mail of a "Redneck Gingerbread House". It is a trailer, complete with jacked up car in front and a truck with those gigantic wheels parked in the dirt driveway.

How CUTE!

I give that gingerbread coop 10 stars! What a fantastic idea! Now I just want to know where in the world the candy chickens came from. I have to get some of those.

Thanks for the kind words. The chicks are just marzipan, painted with watercolors. The white ones (silkies) were covered with white glue and rolled in powdered sugar.
