I just put the link in my post above LOL I was writing and hadn't read your post!If you want to have some heat for those extreme cold days, -20°F to -30°F or more, there is a product called Sweeter Heater. It is radiant heat, so it doesn’t heat the coop, it warms the birds that are under it. You can get a wall side mount or a hanging overhead hanging type.
Good ventilation is key, with no wind to ruffle feathers-and dry space-most coops/birds do fine with no heat.
I also live in New England ... NO HEAT in the coop, they don't need it.We live in New England and my husband thinks we should get a heater for the coop for really cold days
