Chicken Coop media for floor

I see chicken coops with lots of different media on their floors, from bare wood floors, pine savings, sand, and some type of pellets. What is the best?

I think that will depend on you. I like the pine shavings. They smell nice, easy to clean, and cheap.

I like deep bedding/deep litter because I know I won't be out there scraping droppings boards and/or scooping poop out of sand daily.

I had excellent results with my former chickens using pine shavings in the coop and a mix of everything -- shavings, wood chips, straw, pine straw, leaves, etc. in the run.

I do wood chips as deep bedding, because it's free and works well enough for me.
