Chicken Coop Plans from Woodshop Mike

Hey everybody! Finally broke down & purchased the plans from Woodshop Mike to build this beautiful coop. I was wondering if anybody else had built this one & had any money saving tips/tricks or even recommendations. I hope to start purchasing the supplies within the next week or so.

I’ve seen this plan but since I’m from the Midwest with winters wanted to elevate.

The problem with tin roofs is condensation in the winter.

I don't have a problem with condensation on my "tin roof." Lots of folks here without "tin roofs" like to pass the condensation myth along.

I have a metal roof and used to have condensation issues with the previous one. A plywood sheathing helps take care of that.

Also rotating the coop 90 degrees makes sense to me, as long as that fits your location. I do agree that a bigger run would be ideal as well as more ventilation. Bigger eaves will let you tuck some vents under the roof line, and adding some windows can provide both air and light.
