Chicken covered in poop

To help figure out why she got pooped on answering these questions can help.

Is it a one time thing? Is it happening often? If you go check on them after they have gone to roost is she sleeping under the roost? Do you use ladder style roosts or roosts at the same height? Do you have enough roost space so everyone can easily get on the roost? Is she at the bottom of the pecking order?

You also need to watch her and make sure that she is getting enough to eat. I would be concerned that she is sick and that's why she is roosting below the others or fell off the roost bar. Keeping a close eye on her will tell you if she is otherwise normal. Sick chickens can and do pretend to eat, picking up and dropping the same piece of food without actually swallowing it, or pecking and missing it, so you need to watch closely. Sick chickens will often be run out of the flock by the others, so it is in their interests to appear to act normal until they are too weak and sick, so you have to keep a sharp eye on them for any unusual behaviour that might indicate that they are not well. This may be one of those indicators.

My chicken has poop on the top of her head and some on her feathers, she's really dirty and I think a bit weary and scared.

Any idea why?
