Well, I'm not sure what I am doing yet but I am sure that I love chickens! I started out with 2 and now I think I have around 70. I say think because I can't really count them all and them moving about. I love all different kinds but I guess my favorites are frizzle chickens and cochins of any kind. I am wanting to get some maran hatching eggs so that I can add dark eggs to my browns, blue, greens, and white but so far everything I see is terribly expensive. I have a small farm - 4 donkeys, 3 ducks, 2 llamas, 2 baby black sheep, a 6 head of cattle but I love my chickens most of all. I just wish I had more time to spend in the barn. I work a full time job at a university so I have to find time for my "hobby farm". Anyway, I am looking forward to being a part of BYC.
