Not molting I think, no feathers around. But I saw her squinting a few days ago, figured she’s sick or egg bound. In my experience birds die fast. So when I saw her on the ground, day before yesterday, I thought she was brooding. So I went over to find her with her roosters (2). And pulled her up to find no eggs. Since that first day when she was moving and squinting, she hasn’t eaten anything I’ve brought but idk if she’s not eating.

What do I do? Can’t bring her inside, I’ve got a baby.

What is going on with her beak? Is it full of feathers? I wonder if she has been injured in a fight. You can offer her some electrolytes in water with a little sugar but if she has internal injuries that’s a whole different thing.

I don’t think it was a fight, we don’t have any other roaming animals. She’s got two other males with her too and they do a good job. I’m thinking she got that from pruning cause those are soft feathers.

What do you think?

I was thinking a hawk. Perhaps she fought one off. I would think the roosters would step in but without being there we can’t know. It seems very odd to me that she would keep feathers from preening or an attack in her mouth like that. Will she let you handle her?

Yeah i just took her home, she’s sat in a flower pot. We don’t have hawks here actually, im down in Miami. You think she’s egg bound?
