Great. Thanks. I was meaning to get one because it seems like someone's always in here for one reason or another. I just didn't want to be having to scrape it off their rear ends afterwards.

I have no intentions of turning any into house chickens. However when one is in here for an injury or something it would be nice to not have crap all over my house. I'm not a farm.

well chickens are not made for diapers they are not like babys and it would be really unconftrble if they just slept like that chicken are not made for diapers so let them be

Totally agree with you sunshine ducky.

There is no reason why a chicken or any bird needs to wear a diaper. If you need to keep it in the house for any reason you will also need to keep it in a pen or large cage. The chicken can then happily poop in there.

Do you know how often a chicken poops every hour, then you have to times that over 24 hours, then the life of you chicken which could easily be over 5 years. You want to be changing chicken diapers every day every hours for all that time?

Birds are very clean animals and can not stand any mess on their feathers. It would be uncomfortable and unnatural for the chicken to have to wear a diaper and have poopy feathers around its bottom.

We have often need one.
Reasons:
1 Check the chicken poop of and individual chicken. ( health reasons)
2. Hurt or injured chicken, you can bring them inside to observe behavior
3 To help socialize with people.

We have a chicken that was dumped in our yard, She had a bad case of bumblefoot, We cut it open to remove the infection and bandaged her foot. Our screen room isn't big enough for a nice size cage, so we let her walk around. Being so close to humans has made her a demanding (i'm here, give me something, or at least attention. She has turned into a lovely pet. When her foot heals we will let her start to range with other chickens. We have several flocks, I'm not sure which one she will end up with, but they have to get to know each other.

4. Just to be able to handle the chickens without getting pooped on. ( But keep a close eye on poop in dipper)
5 And because it's just fun. Watch you chickens reaction when she suddenly finds herself welcomed in he house.
