So first of all, I didn't know where to put this so I just put it in raising baby chicks.

Yesterday I went outside to feed the chickens and I noticed that the white, rumpless, and pasty butt one (Uno) was not doing very good. He didn't walk very much, he wasn't eating anything, and he drank little. I had no clue what was wrong with him so I just washed off his butt, made him drink some, and let him back in with the rest. That was a mistake! This morning when I went out I didn't see him and I automatically assumed he was dead. I was right, I found him dead in the corner but in a really bad state. One wing was gone, the head was gone, and most of his guts were gone! I assumed it was the chickens but I have no clue why they would've done it. I don't think it was an animal because surely it would've gotten another one too. All my chickens have experienced a death in the coop but none of them tore the body to shreds!

It sounds like it was attacked. The head being ripped off (to me) definitely sounds like a weasel or something. I recently lost 4 pheasants before i finally figured out a weasel was killing them then a stray cat was eating them down to the bone.

If you have a roost your chickens would most likely be fine. But if that one was on the ground because it was weak it would've been a easy target. I have chickens some a few weeks old at the time, turkey, peafowl and pheasant. Only the pheasant were attacked because they don't roost.

Was there a trail of feathers or blood anywhere?

Was the wing, guts and head just missing? were they in the pen?

Any prints around the coop?
Do any of the other birds have blood o then at all? Are zoie, peeke and that other hen back in with the flock already?

there was no feathers or blood, yes it was just the wing, guts, and head, yes they were in the pen, no prints around the coop beside Gemma's that I saw her make myself, no blood, and no they were not in with them.
