I second the Nature's Miracle. It is awesome for getting stains and spills out. Hot water with soap actually does a really good job of getting rid of bacteria. I would get the water as hot as possible for the machine. Go over it with soap, then again without soap until the water coming back is clear.

I hope these wonderful solutions, Lysol wipes and Nature's Miracle, do the job for you. I feel your angst; what a mess! Iwake up each morning to turkeys and their poo each morning dropped on the kitchen floor. It's an annoying mess even on a wooden floor. I feel for you.
