Chicken dragging head please help

My wilkie hen is just a few months old and i opened her pen to find her dragging her head and shaking it and she cant stop I lifted her up and she still did it

Can you give more details of your chicken, such as age, what type of food that you feed, any history of illness or desths in your flock, or any other information that may help us? She may be suffering from wry neck which may be seen with head injuries, vitamin E deficiency, heredity, and is seen in some infectious diseases, such as Mareks and some respiratory diseases that affect the brain.

Is she able to move her legs and wings normally? Can you try to feed her some very watery chicken feed by holding a small bowl up to her beak while you hold her? Get some vitamin E and feed her some bits of chopped egg. Thiamine is another good vitamin to use.

I feed them a multigrain feed. Shes in a pen with other silkies

I've never had this problem before, mu whole flick is vaccinated for marks disease. I give them multigrain feed with sunflowers for vitamin e. I got them as chicks in may. They are silkies so it may have been a peck to the head. I've separated her and I'm giving her wer bread with water and another piece with olive oil because i head that helps

Is that like scratch grains or a chicken grower, all flock, or layer feed? Just asking because vitamin or mineral deficienies can be common if not feeding a balanced chicken feed. Silkies can be prone to wry neck. Do you have any pictures?

Silkies are particularly prone to Marek's and the vaccine does not make them immune to the disease, so it could be that, especially as she is the right age for it, but I too would be concerned about her diet. How do you feed them this multigrain feed? ie in a feeder ad lib to help themselves, thrown on the ground for them to scratch and forage for, fermented and fed twice a day from a pan etc? It may seem odd that the feed and the manner in which it is given can make any difference but I can assure you it is very relevant and put your birds at risk of other even more life threatening illness like Fatty Liver Haemorrhagic Syndrome.
