Hi,
i'm a new member, but have used information posted on backyard chickens for a couple years. Thanks for all ya'll do. I have a chicken tractor i built custom with (6) relatively new pullets i bought from a neighbor. My last group of hens was decimated by a raccoon attack in the evening before i could lock them up. So this group stays in the tractor full time.
Anywho, I like to fish pretty often. When i clean the fish there is a lot of usable "waste" left that i started feeding to my hens, and they love it. The filets go to my freezer, but the guts, eyes, salvageable meat, sometimes rib bones, all goes to the girls.
Anything i can't give to the pullets gets buried in my garden for fertilizer.
