Possibly charcoal to help absorb the poison. In the mean time, don't allow son to participate in feeding chores. If it was clumping litter the chance of a fatal impaction are more likely than if it was the old fashioned clay litter. Either one could be lethal, but only time will tell. Be sure the birds have LOTS to drink. Contact manufacturer.

I wonder if her coop smelled fresh the next day?
I caught my birds in the garage eating my cat's clumping litter. No problems, thank God.

Is there anyway you could tell me what happened to your flock? I had Cat litter out and my chickens kept on dying. I think it was the litter, but if your chickens didn't die, I could be wrong.
