Chicken? Egg?

I just found a really strange egg in a pile of hay where no chicken has laid before. We also have cayuga, welsh harlequin, and Ancona ducks. Could this be a duck egg?? Weird chicken egg?

Forgot to mention we also have turkeys. It looks about the size of a bigger chicken egg.

It must be a Duck egg, if it's a chicken egg, I'm stealing that chicken.
Edit: turkeys? Ithink looks like a giant Quail egg, so maybe.

I would also say duck but I am only know chicken eggs. My first thought was duck.

There's a breed of duck that lays eggs with heavy gray or black bloom, but it washes off, maybe the bloom got rubbed off in the wet grass.

I'm not any help determining what the egg is, but it looks really cool!

When Cayuga ducks lay their first eggs of the season they start of black/grey and after a while turn white

Must be duck! They are just starting to lay apparently because I started walking around looking and found another one half submerged. I didn’t think we’d get eggs from them this year because winter is coming on. I wonder how many more duck eggs are out there? How many have our greedy dogs eaten...Gosh there are so many places to look. At first I thought one of our chickens was sick or something. The chickens started laying this summer, and their eggs are almost always the size of our two adult chickens. I’m so excited about this!
