I candled my eggs on day 9 discarded the one's that showed no signs of life. Today is day 14 and there is an odor in the incubator should I candle again and see if I need to dicard an egg? Or do they start to smell the closer they get to hatching? I really don't want an egg to explode and I also don't want to over candle my eggs not sure how many times you should really candle eggs.
Thanks to anyone who can give information.

Yes, candle again, because if you wait.....the egg will pop and that is REALLY YUCKY!

I had a stinker in one of my 3 hatches...I sniffed each one (hoping it wouldn't explode in my face!) and could easily sniff out the yucky one...good luck!

Thank you for the information I just candled them and found a bad one and didn't have to smell too many when I found a leaker

glad that one's gone now it will begin to smell better. Hopefully this will be the last to discard, I'm hoping for an excellent hatch for my first time. Thank you all again for the help.
