And another suggestion, make the ramp sturdy by adding extra wood. When making the ramp I used the cut out from the wall. I found that the cut out wasn't strong enough to support multiple chickens on it so I put that piece on plywood, traced it and cut out another same sized and shaped piece. Then I screwed these two pieces together then added boards for slip control. The ramp is very sturdy like this. The other stuff you see is the outside trim.
