Hey! My chicken recently closes one eye a lot (like so incredibly much) she usually doesnt open it when you pick her up aswell. It also looks slightly puffy, shes 6 months old but theres no other symptoms. It accured Monday, i had looked at it looking for a cut, nothing. I gently washed around her eye just in case, but i still see no external/internal cut??

Have you ever had a grain of sand or dirt get in your eye? It hurts like the Dickens, especially if it's scratched the cornea. You can barely keep the eye open, the pain is that bad. That's your hen.

You need to wash the eye out with saline. Plain water hurts, but saline, being close in ph to the fluid in the eye, soothes. Get the saline from the pharmacy or make your own. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/323842

Flush the eye well and use an eye ointment twice a day. You can get terramycin at your feed store or use Neosporin.
