A couple days ago one of my chickens eye started looking strange. She's been kinda subdued but other than that she seems fine. Any ideas on what it could be?

I'll bite... strange how? Bubbles, discharge, visible worms in the sclera, etc?

Can you get a eye close up pic?

It just swelled up, no discharge. It looks like its the membrane inside the outer lip of the eyelid. Tonight I'm going out so I can get a closer look, none of my chickens let me pick them up during the day

Well, today the bubbles started and she just sat in the rain and didn't even try to get away from me when I walked up to her. I washed her eye with eye wash and have her by herself with food and water in the garage. Do eye bubbles mean an upper respitory infection? Is there anything I can do to help her??

She's still alive this morning but seems the same. I haven't noticed any smells or discharge from her nose. She sounds kinda gurgly when she makes any noises. She won't stand up just lays there. :( poor Pickety!

Sounds like it might be respitory then..=(Half of my flock came down with it a while back. How does the other eye look? I would search the threads on here for respitory illnesses... Make sure you keep her away from the others. I would say to even change your clothes after tending to her before tending to the others.. Because it is contagious if it is respitory. Have you checked her entire body for other signs of injury??

I checked her over but saw nothing. Here is a better pic of her eye

She has no use of her right leg and can't walk around anymore. She's probably about 6 months old, can it be mareks?
