Chicken feather pking

My 7 week old buff Brahma has decided to pick at the feathers on his feet! He is making them bloody!! Oye! Why would he do this and how do I get him to stop???

The chick needs a diversion to break its fixation. Buy some shuttlecocks (badmiton birdies) and toss them around the pen. You can come up with your own diversions if you get creative. The idea is to provide something similar to what the chick is fixated on and make it numerous. Having numerous similar objects will dilute the attraction and draw attention away from its feet.
