I have the same problem except my rabbits eat duck layer feed. I'll have to watch this thread.Hi all,
I have one 2-year old rabbit and he seems to enjoy my chicken’s layer feed...is it alright if he eats it? I know it’s not recommended, but is it fatal?
It’s probably not fatal; I would imagine that it’s similar to why roosters can’t have layer feed. Nothing to do with the excess calcium - could effect kidneys but this would have to be their main diet for years.I have the same problem except my rabbits eat duck layer feed. Hello! I know your rabbit might enjoy eating your chicken’s food but I would stop letting your bunny eat it because it could cause problems like GI stasis since that food isn’t made for them. Especially things like seeds can cause them to choke. Hope this helps! Best wishes for you and your little bun!Hi all,
