I wanted to start feeding my chickens cracked corn and its to expensive at the feed store so i was wondering if anybody had any good ideas on how to make a homemade corn cracker

It is quit expensive, in Israel for a 25 kilo (50 pound) bag of balanced layer feed with all the vitamins and minerals needed, we pay 12$.

It cost me around 11 + tax where I live. $8.99 is good price.

I've been trying to come up with something my self .I buy scratch feed from the farmers COOP and there has been a lot of whole corn in it .If you could find a hand ringer from an old washing machine that mite work if you removed the rubber on the rollers. but it seems like a lot of work to me. or some type of hammer mill. they make those to hook up to a tractor. I wish I could afford one.
