Chicken Feeders

Does anyone know where to find a goat proof chicken feeder. I can't leave the chickens food out cause the goats will eat it all and make them sick.
I have been looking and nothing.

Thanks.

I like the type that sBrickmanHouse recommended. Once nice thing is that you can attach a large pipe to it that stores the feed and fills it so you increase holding capacity. I have that style built from wood with a four foot 3.5" pipe that distributes the feed into it like this :

As far as a goat proof feeder- we never found one. We had to leave the goats locked up while the chickens were being fed but then we weren't sure if everyone was eating. We moved the food into the coop and made the door just big enough for the chickens to get it - which was REALLY tricky because those goats would walk on their knees and they were so skinny (at least at the start of the day). Then the chickens were spending too much time in the coop so it was really getting dirty fast - the goats found a new home sadly. Sorry I can't help with a certain feeder but just to say that you might have to make the entrance to the feed smaller

Oh, I like the pig feeder and the wall feeder ideas -- I'm not loving my hanging feeder right now - I was hoping for something more weather proof and bigger. The range feeders are wonderful, except that I would have to have them shipped, and they are expensive! I'd rather have more fence for that kind of pricing.

I would think you could put some kind of large mesh over the opening or hang the pig feeder high enough so that they couldn't get into it. I may have to experiment this week before we remodel the chicken house.

Thanks for starting / contributing! Now I have lots of good ideas!
