Chicken Feet for Dinner?

I am not one to knock any food until I try it, but I just can't seem to bring myself to eat the feet. My sister loves them and I have been meaning to ask her if she want's them when we process our birds, but I can't seem to catch up with her.

Does anyone here want them if she doesn't? I can freeze them for you and anyone local can pick them up. They will be here for the taking. If not I am just going to throw them away.

Back in High school I worked in a Chinese restaurant . one day I opened a pot on the stove and found a bunch of chicken feet. The boss was cooking up his family's diner. They had been slow cooking in teriyaki sauce for a couple of hours. He let me try some and they were great. You just bite off the toes and suck the flesh of the bones and spit the bones out, kind of like eating buffalo wings.
Id make some, but my wife wont let me in the kitchen

Another chicken feet fan here. I've eaten them in Chinese restaurants during tea lunches a ton of times and also used them in stock. I can't wait until I process, I'm going to make the best chicken soup ever!

<<Hey Carol... If you trim the nails off and then place the feet in some boiling water for a couple of minutes, the yellow outer skin will come off quite easily.... after which I boil them with seasoning... after about 10 mins of boiling, stick them with a fork and it should slide in easy, but not too easy... you don't want mushy feet... after they are fork easy, take them out for a short rest, then put them on the BBQ.... then you can eat the whole thing minus the bones... I sometimes leave on one toe nail for the unsuspecting guest.... When they ask about it I just tell them to use it to pick their teeth.. ///enjoy...///Moe>>

Thanks! I'll try that. I'll also email a friend of mine from the Phillipines to see if she has any recipes. Carol
