Chicken filleted her side under wing

Pics
A little over 2 weeks since the attack, and Chai is doing amazing. The embedded feathers came off with the scab and her wound is looking really good! I haven’t let her loose with her flock yet, but we take her hospital cage out daily to spend the daylight hours with her friends. I’m thinking in a few days she will be ready to rejoin them without the cage. Waiting for the last of the redness around the edges of the wound to be gone. I really am amazed at the healing capacity and resilience with a little TLC. Now, if solving feather picking issues could only be this easy! Another thread, another day.
Someone on another thread I’m frequently on also has a feather picking issue.
Her Polish gets her head picked bald by all her other pullets.
She’s had success with a Rooster Booster product that you spray on the bird being pecked and it tastes bad to the ones picking.

I have tried rooster booster, pick no more, pine tar, aprons, nustock... they still seem to find new feather growth irresistible, regardless of what I put on them. Aprons have worked the best for their backs, but that doesn’t protect tail feathers.

I am truly amazed at the healing capacity. This is 2 1/2 weeks after the injury. If I hadn’t had to cut broken wing feathers, it would be fully covered by her wing, so I think I need to wait a little longer before reintroducing her to the flock without a cage protecting her. Thoughts?

Yeah they’d definitely be interested in pecking that scab.
I wonder if Blu Kote would help?
I got really lucky that Aggie’s was hidden from view.

Her wing covers all but the very tip of it. I decided to try letting her out with the flock today. She immediately had a long, vigorous dust bath, then proceeded to attack several members of the flock. Almost like she was letting them Know that she was not to be messed with. Will be watching closely tomorrow.

She’s doing well. She and her bestie are back, shoulder to shoulder, in their own little world, minimally interacting with the rest of the flock. It’s kinda sweet and sad at the same time. I found a large, scabbed over, neck wound on another girl today (Not as bad as this side wound) that probably happened the last time we saw a hawk swoop down. I had inspected most of the birds upon herding them back into their protected yard, but wasn’t checking necks. I feel bad, but she’s healing ok, and this explains her sporadic laying habit of late.
