Aysel, the young Sultan pullet, pushed her way through the crowd as best as she could, eager to get to the scratch.

Tillie quickly went and hid, she didn't want the keeper to catch her. He always wanted to pick her up and pet and stoke her . She Hated it!

Frosting, Sprinkles, and Mo squeezed through the little opening between the keeper's leg and the door. Rosemary Daffodil flew down from the roost, startling the keeper, who laughed. The rest of the birds pushed towards the keeper, who opened the door to the run. "Fine. But no free-ranging!" the keeper said.

Leola was relieved. The idea of being confined to the coop only had been worrying her, but now her one goal was to get to her favorite nest box.
She saw another hen eyeing it, but being more agile, she was able to fly up to it first.

Tillie still didn't appear she was staying put in the worst nesting box in the coop. 'the keeper will never think of finding me here'
Bunty, ran after the chicks head bobbing, and ran to her favourite mud bath, 'aaahh' she exclaimed as she got comfortable. 'oh a worm i'd better eat it before the others see'
