My husband was moving our very large (I can't budge it) chicken tractor and it came down on one of my girl's feet. She sqwuaked and we immediately freed here. She held her leg up and laid in the corner of the run at first. As a side note, 2 of my other hens went to check on her and one layed next to her. They were so sweet to her.
I checked her and saw nothing, not even swelling. After about 10 minutes she was pecking and scratching the new grass and acting normal. She put herself to bed tonight.
I feel so guilty and obviously we will modify how we move the coop.
Is it possible she is ok? It doesn't seem like it. The coop literally weighs at least 400 pounds (we made it way too big). I am just sick over it. I feel horrible for her
