Chicken found alive after 1-2 months of being trapped

Thank you for checking in!!!
She’s still doing good! :thumbsup
We built a little moveable pen earlier this year, so we’ve been putting her in it the past few days and leaving her outside from about noon to sun down.
She’s still not able to fully stand and walk, but when she’s outside she practices. It will probably take time to build back up her muscles, but I think she’ll get there eventually. She gets a little bit better every day!!
Good news! Keep going, Blondie! We are routing for you!

The only research I've read about ACV was for broilers, and they don't live long enough for long term effects to be tested.

Never heard of bene-bac (I'm assuming short for "beneficial bacteria"), but imma look into it now! Thanks for the info!
Same as kombucha - acv is made with a scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast - also called a 'mother') they eat the sugars in the fruit and break it down into more useable forms - their frass, essentially, is what's good for you. It's predigested apple that leaves vitamins, potassium, antioxidants etc in an easily digestible form.

The 'boogers' or 'slime' left behind in unpasteurized acv contains live scoby, so can actually be used to establish your own culture.

Cool! I'd never bothered to research it, but that's kinda awesome.

Best news I've heard all day!!!!!

I have to admit, I have been curious, but I've been afraid to ask. Thank you for the updates!

My husband is really into his fermenting. Kombucha is very easy cause you just feed it with a batch if sweet tea once a week in a big glass or ceramic pot(jar etc... The bigger the more you can make at once) with cheese cloth on top, then bottle it for another week (adding flavors if you like) and you essentially have cheap, healthy, carbonated novelty drinks you can bust out when friends and family come to visit. Experimenting with different flavorings is always the fun part!

The dear husband has also just gotten into making fruit vinegars. Dried fruit seem to work the best for this - just add water and forget they exist for a while. They turn alcoholic, then eventually to vinegar.

I do have one hen coming out of molt shoeing a lot of white. At least now I can tell her apart from others. White/blonde...Close enough?
You could name the blackist chicken you have Blondie if you want. It's only a chicken. Then when people ask why you did that, just tell them it's opposite day:confused:
