Chicken found alone on road; what do we do???

I know but I just don't think it's funny to joke about killing chickens. would it be funny to joke about killing people? No it wouldn't be, so what's the difference?

Please don't start arguing over it.

Has nothing to do with a lost chicken on the road.

I found some baby chicks on the side of the road once. They were still there when I got back from the store, so I picked them up. It took a couple days, but I found the owners, and they were very happy to get them back.

Yes, in some ways there are pretty big differences. Chickens are fowl, humans aren't. Humans are a bit smarter, chickens are a little smart too but not as much as humans. But chickens and humans both are living, breathing creatures with feelings and both have a right to live freely.

(or at least they should....)

yeah, she asked, gotta help her set it up....
also, something to think about....even if the bird needed rescuing it would be a VERY bad idea if you don't have a quarantine pen, she could bring something into your flock and you could lose them all. You need to think of your chickens first

thanks! i forgot about that.

I think we will just leave her alone. She looked pretty content where she was. Probably just wandering around, looking for bugs.

I wouldn't go get the bird. Diseases, could be sick, could be aggressive.

well if your gonna use that train of thought veggies are living breathing things too... what did they do to make you angry?

Just kidding..

I completely understand the desire to be humane and treat all animals with respect... and chickens sure are some cool animals!!! I treat my chickens better than my dogs (or so my friends say) my friends say that the chickens are living on 5th avenue and the dogs are in the slums (they live in the house)

you should just know that allot of folks on here are wise guys and joke allot... a sense of humor is a good thing to have..
