We have had our chickens long enough now to have learned a lot about them. The most interesting thing learned is their genetic origin. It is quite clear that chickens have evolved from monkeys, pigs and goats. What ever one does the others have to copy… monkey see monkey do… all the time. Also, they poop every where. In the coop, on the coop, in their grit bowl and in their waterers. Clearly acting like such pigs they must have some of the pig genome. Goats will eat almost anything. Guess what… chickens WILL eat anything and be joyous in doing it. They seem to take great joy in nibbling at the hairs on my legs. Add a smile to your life and get some chickens.
