Chicken Happiness is..........

Aw! Get her some fertilized eggs to hatch. I bet they are the BEST little Mommas!
That's my plan on the spring! We aren't ready for any more babies until then:hmm poor girl! And it's pretty cold here so no one is really looking to take chicks at this time. I can't hatch without knowing I am keeping them or have homes for them...poor girl! She will make a great momma because she is a stubborn broody already at only 9 months old

I always think they should get the chance to have little ones. I'm glad you are going to help her out.

She will love it and so will you! Mine wasn't even 6 months old when she hatched eggs for my neighbor. He gave us some RSL eggs to hatch for him. I couldn't believe she hatched them for him her first time going broody but she knew just what to do!

I can't wait to let her be a momma!!! I just love broodies and their babies :love:jumpy

Chicken happiness: today, 46 above! Sun! minimal white stuff left on their path to the dust bath on the East side of the tall critters' house.
*Believe it or not, we have plywood stacked against that wall and the area next to the house is *not* frozen despite weeks and weeks of bitter cold. Happy girls.

Also!!! Happy two-leggeds, all three of our bee colonies were out and about today; cleansing flights no doubt. Their threshold is 46 above and sun.
