A roof over their heads.
Mine spend more time under their house than anywhere other than coop. Lots of conversation, preening, dust bathing, napping, etc. Even when free ranging they come back under the coop to rest.

They will find a spot in the sun to lay in the cold and my australorp was dust bathing in 30 degree weather once and the sun was hitting on her at the same exact time!
