Chicken Happiness is..........

A roof over their heads.

Mine spend more time under their house than anywhere other than coop. Lots of conversation, preening, dust bathing, napping, etc. Even when free ranging they come back under the coop to rest.

I've never had Cochins but other members always mention how people-friendly that are. Your's are certainly sweet looking!

I have two bantam Cochin. My frizzle went broody & hatched some chicks earlier this year and never once did she get mean with me the way some broodies supposedly do. She's my only experience with broodies-that's why I say supposedly. She was the best little broody I could imagine though. So sweet!

Haha! Mine are the exact same way!:lau They will find a spot in the sun to lay in the cold and my australorp was dust bathing in 30 degree weather once and the sun was hitting on her at the same exact time!
