Chicken has a strange mound under his butt-hole? HELP!

My chick charlotte started having this mound on her tummy! I am really worried.. what is it? It seems to be attached to his skin, by a chord?

Nope not a belly button. That's pasty butt and if its not well make me blind and paint me pink . Pasty butt is easily treated just take a warm wet cloth and wipe til clean. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

If this is located underneath the vent, it probably is the belly button. I wouldn't mess with it at all. Unless you would like to put some blue kote on it to help prevent the picking. If it's the umbilicus and you pull on it, the intestines will spill out and you will need to euthanize. Good luck with your chick!

I agree, that looks more umbilical to me, maybe an umbilical hernia. You'll just have to watch it. If you get her cleaned up and dried off does the fluff cover it or not? If not then a little Blue Kote as leadwolf1 mentioned might help.
