One of my hens appears to have been scalped.

Half of her comb and about 1 inch on the top of her head behind the comb is gone; feathers, skin everything. She is behaving completely normally today. I put some polysporin on it last night. Is there anything else I can do for her? I have no idea what happened. It looks like she got the comb caught on something and then pulled it off trying to get loose. The wound is very clean and the edges are not jagged at all but it looks totally disgusting.

Just keep it cleaned, put regular neosporin on it, and cover it with a non stick gauze if you can. keep her separated from the rest of your flock with food and water.
And just keep an eye on her, hope she gets better

If it is an open red sore, the other hens might want to start pecking her. You might want to put some Blue Kote on it. It will kill the germs. It also will make her head a bluish purple and help keep the other hens from attacking her. Then, put some Petroleum jelly on top of that. If they do peck her head, it will stick to their beaks. They can't stand that.

Do you have roos? When I had more roos than I should (for a limited time) the backs of my girls heads were bald cause the boys were getting too amorous.... might be a rough romance there

No roos so I know it wasn't a love bite. At least not from the same species. Thanks for the other recommendations - I'll keep and eye on her!

Is Blue Kote the same as wound coat a spray I was told will seal the wound so the other hens can't smell the blood? Sorry if this is a stupid question I am still new to chickens!

I have not heard of Wound Coat. With chickens, if they see red, they like to peck on it. The Blue Kote will help hide the color. It will stain the chicken blueish/ purple . It will also stain you that same color... so be carefull not to spray yourself.
