chicken has diarrhea

My red sex link pullet has been having brown, runny diarrhea. It's really messy and stinky. I'm sure it could be fixed pretty easily if I knew what caused it and what to feed her. Currently, I feed my pullets that chick starter from TLC along with fruit and veggie scraps and whatever grubs, seeds, and grass they get from free ranging.

What kinds of foods are good for helping the diarrhea? I have heard feeding her rice and checking for worms are a good idea. But how do you check a chicken for worms? I would love to hear any other suggestions, too.

You can take a poo sample to the vet and he can test for worms/what kind/what to treat with.

When my chickens had diarrhea, I put probiotics in their drinking water. After a few days, They were a lot better.

Always a good idea. If they were mine, I would worm the flock and cut back on the treats until things stabilized.
