Chicken has huge boil on side of head please help

My chicken was molting and I just thought she had feathers coming in but now it's swelled up at the ear and sticking out. I tried to take a picture but it's not really good. What do I need to do for her??

Yeah, hard to tell--too blurry. But it's over her ear, whatever it is. I'm an RN so if it was an abscess, I'd be right on top of draining it, cleaning it, and dressing it with bacitracin. Then I'd call the vet for some antibiotics. You may want to take her in to have it looked at, though, especially given it's so close to her ear...
