Hi one of my bard rock hens woke up today to the sniffles and congested breathing. This is the first I've had a chicken show these signs. I have her isolated in the house. So far I bought some vet rx for respitory issues and have put some on her head, in water and on her mouth. I just did this an hour ago. She is showing interest in scratching and has been eating. Do you have any other recommendations for treatment. Thanks.

My sweet little chicken is going through the exact same thing right now (and I just posted a thread about it, too!). I've had her in the house for two full days, today is day three. I've kept the house around 68 degrees, made sure she's staying hydrated and getting plenty of food, and she's been doing really well! It would be good to find out if you have any vets in your area that treat chickens, just in case her situation starts to deteriorate. I've been using VetRX around her nostrils/beak and I'm not sure if it's helping, but her sniffles seem to be getting better and not worse. Good luck!!!
