I kept mine. She was okay most of the time. Eventually it did kill her, so try not to be surprised if and when that happens. Mine would run around as if being chased and death was imminent then keel over and have the seizure. Afterwards, she'd just lie there and eventually she'd get up and go about chicken business. I noticed she did not have a tendency to know when she was thirsty, so in the evening I would always lead her to some drink and she'd drink a whole lot. She did lay eggs, but I do think she stopped earlier than usual. This was probably due to stress of increasing seizures. She died on a hot day. I think she just didn't know she was thirsty and the heat and the lack of fluids caused her to have a heat stroke or seizure. I'm not really sure but that's what it appeared to be to me. I happened to just see it happen while looking out the window.
Its possible maybe your hen needs some good nutrition. Sometimes that is all it is and sometimes they can grow out of these things. I think mine didn't develop the seizures until after she reached maturity. Yet I wonder if she developed the problem after being thrown around by another hen as a day old chick.
All in all I am glad I kept her. She was a sweet hen- one of the sweetest.
