Grit should be available in a separate container for the chickens to eat as they need it. Most have a container of crushed oyster shell as well for calcium as needed.

I bought some grit guys, giving it to them every now and than to make sure they digest better, what is a good schedule for feeding them grit should it always be available?

I can I crush egg shells as a substitute for crushed oyster shell?
Provide grit and oyster shell free choice, the birds will take what they need.

You can also offer crushed egg shells, but it's always a good idea to provide oyster shell as well.

Let me say this, my hen is now making a sort of soft whining noise while she goes to bed, also I think all my hens still sneeze, she also makes a sort of wheezing noise when I pick her up but when I hear her breath it still doesn't seem nearly as bad since I had her on a medication for her breathing problems earlier, and the other hens as well.
