My chickens free range and roost in trees or up on top of other high places. They have a coop that they can roost, nest, eat and drink or get out of bad weather. Some prefer the coop and some don’t. The one tgat is not acting right is one tgat doesn’t stay in coop. All the other ones like her are just fine. It is just weird. Can chickens have strokes? It could be something as simple as a vitamin E deficiency producing sudden symptoms of wry neck or it could be mold toxin, either in the feed or in the bedding, or it could be some other toxic poisoning such as from insecticide or other petroleum products such as automotive fluids.
It can also be something from a compost pile has been contaminated by botulism bacterium.

What is age, and feed routine, including treats and supplements? Is she still eating and drinking? How do droppings look? Is she lethargic also or just wobbly? Can you post a video?Anybody have any thoughts on what could be wrong? She was fine last night.
She seems to be walking better with still some imbalance. We are wondering if she got shocked by electric fence. Hadn’t seemed to bother them in the past but we added some additional strings due to predator issue. What is age, and feed routine, including treats and supplements? Is she still eating and drinking? Have you checked her crop to see if it's empty, normal, or squishy?
Have you checked her body or skin condition, eyes, and ear holes? Any way to know if she's laying or when her last egg was?
Electrolyte imbalance due to hot weather coupled with dehydration (for whatever reason if off water) may also cause a myriad of neurological symptoms.. in addition to the possibilities mentioned by other posters. More information is needed though to rule certain things in or out.
Hope you find answers and she recovers quickly!![]()
